Why tint in Florida

Your car lives in the sun.

Glass lets in heat, glare and UV every time you park. The right film keeps the cabin cooler, protects your skin and your interior — and stays inside the law.

  • 20° In about 10 minutes

How fast a parked car’s cabin can heat up in the sun. Quality film cuts the heat coming through the glass, so the cabin cools faster.

  • 99% UV blocked

UV window film can block more than 99% of UVA and UVB. Side glass on its own does a poor job against UVA — the rays linked to skin aging.

    Source: Skin Cancer Foundation
  • 28% Florida front-door minimum

Front side windows must let in at least 28% of light. Behind the driver: 15% on cars, 6% on SUVs and vans. We keep you legal.

  • 3–4hrs Typical sedan install

Done where your car already is — mobile, by appointment. Full SUVs take 4–5 hours.

Lower number = darker film. In Florida, front door windows must be 28% or lighter.

Why darker isn’t always cooler

The science of tint

Darker isn’t always cooler.

Sunlight carries three kinds of energy. Your eyes only see one of them — and that’s the only one a tint percentage measures.

  • Infrared the heat you feel≈ half
  • Visible light what you see≈ 42%
  • Ultraviolet fades interiors, ages skinthe rest

So what actually keeps you cool?

About half of the sun’s energy is infrared — you can’t see it, but you feel it on your arm through the glass. Ceramic film is built to stop infrared. That’s why a lighter, legal ceramic shade can keep the cabin cooler than a darker film that only blocks what you see.

Side windows don’t block UVA well on their own — and that’s the glass next to your arm and face every drive.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does installation take?

Sedans take 3–4 hours. Full SUVs take 4–5 hours.

Is old tint removal available?

Yes. Removing existing film is charged separately from the new install.

Can you help me choose a shade?

Yes. We bring shade samples and compare them on your own glass before any film is cut, so you see the real result in daylight rather than on a screen.

How dark can I go in Florida?

Front side windows must let in at least 28% of light. Windows behind the driver must let in at least 15% on cars and 6% on SUVs, trucks and vans. We help you pick a shade that looks right and stays legal.

Does tint protect against UV?

Yes. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, UV window film can block more than 99% of UVA and UVB rays. That also helps slow fading and cracking of your seats and dashboard.

What warranty applies?

Warranty terms depend on the exact Aimiki product selected and are confirmed from the current product documentation before booking.
